LADWP can take two easy, common-sense steps to augment economic opportunity and the health of the environment in the Eastern Sierra, without sacrificing its ability to provide water to users in Los Angeles.
1. Commit to provide water to southern Mono County, every year, on a date certain, and in an amount to be determined by each year’s snowpack.
2. Commit to steadily decrease the amount of water removed from the Eastern Sierra over the next 25 years.
